私たちの研究室は，人の身体に調和する医療材料や構造の設計・開発を目指し，骨，歯，軟骨などの階層構造をバイオメカニクスの視点から分析し，骨疾患，関節症などの病態解明やインプラント設計に応用する研究や，生体由来のコラーゲンや，体内で分解される生分解性プラスチックを活用したインプラント材料の開発を行っています．
Our laboratory aims to design and develop medical materials and structures that harmonize with the human body. From a biomechanical perspective, we investigate the hierarchical structures of biological tissues such as bone, teeth, and cartilage, and apply this knowledge to the elucidation of disease mechanisms, including bone disorders and osteoarthritis, as well as to the design of biomedical implants. In addition, we are engaged in the development of implant materials utilizing naturally derived collagen and biodegradable polymers that can safely degrade within the body.
